Munroe (all pronouns) is a theatre artist born and raised in essex junction, Vermont, now based in Boston, Massachusetts. spanning drama, fiction, and narrative nonfiction, his work often centers his rural New England heritage and love of history to explore introspective themes of intergenerationality, queer family, and loss while uncovering intimate truths about human communion.
Munroe is a 24/25 boston center for the arts playwright in residence and serves as the Howlround fellow for the howlround theatre commons. He is a previous winner of the rod parker playwriting fellowship and betsy carpenter awards for playwriting, a finalist for the tom howard/john h. reid fiction & essay contest, and published in passengers literary journal
